John Fury On Jake Paul fighting his son, Tommy Fury
True Geordie asked John Fury about his younger soon here did he see his boxing ability in his potential to go in the sport of boxing.
He had this to say “You know what the kid, he’s got plenty of boxing potential.” “He can punch, he can box, but he’s inexperienced, you know it showed last time out (Tommy fight on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Tyroon Woodley the bout took place on August 29, 2021, at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.).”
“We need to work on the pressure side more than anything else.”
J. Fury added, “He’s a 22-year-old kid he had 10 junior booths she’s only had seven pro fights, but he’s never been on the big stage.”
“He’s been flung forward to fight what’s his biggest world title fights only seven booths… so we’ve gotta work on his energy first.”
John Fury says that Tommy needs to work on his energy first and his mental state walking to a fight and controlling his emotions.
“If he can’t beat Jake Paul, I will retire him there and then.”
True Geordie added, “It looks like it will be a close fight in my opinion.”
J. Fury replayed, “No chance if it’s a close fight Tommy’s retired.”
“If Tommy struggles to beat him, he’s retired from boxing (because Jake Paul) is a YouTuber! Fury added He’s gotta be knocking Jake Paul out .”
“I’m not wasting my time with people in the gym because… I haven’t got a lot of time left at 56 old, so I’m not going to train with somebody I’ve got no faith in it. “
“So I told him… unless you knock him out, I’ll forget me with a boxing, I’ll walk away… because he’s a YouTuber.”
Fury credits Jake Paul as Businessman, but not as a boxer “He’s a YouTuber.”
“He (Tommy) beat better man than Jake Paul already he’s beat better than Jake Paul. It’s not Jake Paul’s thing. It’s occasions.”
“You know it’s a massive occasion with Tommy. We can make adjustments Jake Paul can’t. Jake Paul’s it’s a YouTuber. Good luck to the kid.”
“He’s a businessman; he’s doing a great job, keep doing it, and this fight will be bigger than probably a lot of world title fights, but can Tommy win in Tyson style? Yes, he can.”
Tyson Fury said that he will retire Tommy Fury from boxing if fails to beat Jake Paul.
John Fury thinks Tommy will KO Jake Paul in the ring within 4-5 rounds. “I see Tommy splattering Jake Paul all over the ring, within four to five rounds.”
He continues to say, “And If he doesn’t, it’s over for him! He knows that. No pressure Tommy lad, but let me tell you, you will be called ‘Tommy Fumbles’ as well; if it’s a close fight, Tommy’s retired.”
John Fury wants his son Tommy to fight Logan Paul after beating Jake Paul.
John Fury says he wants Logan Paul next after Tommy beats Jake Paul, but he thinks Paul’s brother will be afraid to accept the fight after they see what Tommy does to Jake in the ring.
“Well if he gets Jake Paul, we’d like to go after his brother Logan Paul… When he smashes Jake Paul, he’ll take on his brother Logan and smash him along if he fancied it.”
“But let me tell you, once they see what Tommy does to Jake Paul, they’re not going to want it.” John Fury told True Geordie
